Cool Stuff: Teen Author Boot Camp

Each year, Writers Cubed, a collective of writing activists, hosts Teen Author Boot Camp, a series of conference-style classes with the goal of improving the writing of teen attendees.  Of course, you had to travel to Utah to reap the benefits.  Until this year.

Teen Author Boot Camp is going virtual, live broadcasting the whole conference.  You can purchase passes that offer a selection of classes, or offer full access for an entire year.  And the Keynote Address from Shannon Hale is free!  The instructors are a huge line-up of published YA authors (including Aprilynne Pike and Tyler Whitesides, both of whom I can vouch for as very engaging and informative, not to mention awesome).  Visit their website to see the full line up and sign up.  Or you can head to YA Highway, where they have an interview with one of the founders and are giving away a basic pass.

  1. Thanks so much for the info, Sarah! I love Shannon Hale's books and hope I can watch her keynote speech! This is definitely something to keep in mind if I ever get the change to work in YA services.
