Event Recap: The First Annual Schurcipefones Festival--Kids' Event

This weekend, there was much beer to be had on Locust outside Left Bank Books--Downtown.

But inside, there was Storytime fun with Miss Jonesey!  We had two different Storytime sessions to go with The First Annual Schurcipefones Festival.

1:00 brought The Man in the Moon by William Joyce and Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems.

Afterward, we made origami fortune tellers and fancy envelopes.

At 2:00, we read The Goodnight Train by June Sobel, illustrated by Laura Huliska-Beith, then had some interactive fun with Press Here by Herve Tullet and Huff and Puff by Claudia Rueda.

That was followed by some lantern-making.

We didn't see many kids (which I suppose may be expected for a beer-oriented event), but we had great fun with those who did come out to play, and we hope to see a few new faces at our regular Storytimes (3:00 p.m. on Thursdays and 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays)!
