Event Preview: The First Annual Schurcipefones Festival--Kids' Event

Craft Beer Week?  Surely this isn't a kids' event, right?  Wrong.

As the closing ceremony for St. Louis Craft Beer Week 2012, our neighbors at the Downtown store, The Bridge Tap House and Wine Bar, are hosting The First Annual Schurcipefones Festival.  This street festival will include breakfast tacos, BBQ, big wheel races, darts, sidewalk chalk, free bike safety checks and, of course, $25 unlimited beer tastings, including several special release local brews.  Left Bank Books has been asked to provide some kid-friendly entertainment during the festivities, and we are happy to oblige.  We'll be turning the store into a campground, complete with tent and campfire stories with Storytime host extraordinaire, Miss Jonesey!  We'll even have some crafts to do and the kiddos can have their very own beer (of the root and ginger variety, naturally)!

The First Annual Schurcipefones Festival runs from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5 at The Bridge Tap House and Wine Bar on Locust between 10th and 11th.  Kids events will be in Left Bank Books--Downtown between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Tickets for the beer tastings are $25 and can be purchased in advance online or at any Bailey's restaurant.  Proceeds will benefit Perennial and Aim High St. Louis.  Events at Left Bank Books are free and open to the public.
